Default The difference between the 8valve and the 16valve block

Hi guys a quick question, apart from the valve recess in the top of the pistons is there any thing different between the 8 valve and the 16 valve 2.5 engine blocks, i.e. is the bore and stroke the same and will the bits from the 16v fit the 8v block? I have a 16 valve 944S with seezed block. I plan to either put in an S2 lump or re block the S. Regards

Default RE: The difference between the 8valve and the 16valve block

The water passages on the 16V head and the 8V head are different, so would assume the blocks would have the same problem. I have read that there are other differences in the blocks, but dont know for sure how accurate that is.
