odometer

i have a 1986 944 and here is the problem my speedometer is working fine but my odometer is not working any ideas....thanks

There is a plastic gear in the speedo that goes to the odometer. It is normally the problem. You can find replacement gears at various places. try www.944online.com, but check to make sure thats the problem first.

Had the same problem, Clark's garage has great instructions on how to replace. It was a lot easier than expected after gagging on the $40 plastic gear the size of a dime.
