One thing that is very rewarding when restoring a 944both visually and financially (add an instant $1000 or more to theresale value) is the paint restoration. If you are not able to perform this yourself, take the car to a detail or body shop, (ask them to quote you first) ask them todo a multi-stage (2 stages shoulddo the trick) machine compound and polish. Should cost no more than$200-300. This will bringyour 944 back to life like no other cosmetic enhancement could accomplish. Especially if the paint is still in fair condition. I purchased my firstGaurds Red 944 that was so oxidized it was pink.I spent 3 hours doing onemulti-stage session (Farecla G3 compound then Farecla G10 finishing although many different compounds to choose from) brought the originalpaint back to an unbeleivable result. Case and point, I bought the car for $3,200 and was offered $6,500 cash two months later.I havemade a fair chunk of changeover the years performing this trade proven technique on hundreds of cars. I hope it helps you too.
