newbie: need help on a 944

ok so i found a 1986 porsche 944 with 136,000 miles selling for a mere $2995. im going into my senior year of highschool and this car is perfect for me. any advice? any opinion or thought is helpful. also if anyone in the NJ or NY area knows where to find a better deal it would be appreciated.

A 20 year old porsche perfect for someone on a limited income? LOL I wouldn't touch a 944 until you have a good job and a 2nd car you can drive when the 944 is down for repairs. The initial price of the car may be affordable, but plan over $1000 a year just to keep it on the road (doing most of the work yourself).
