Default Not a hope in #*^! of identifying this!

Hey folks, I just did one of the classic no-nos to my 944. I was convinced by a so-called mechanic friend to let himtackle the difficult task of locating a reman Nippon Denso A/C compressor and eventually do the install. Well... after driving my baby back from the garage I knew something wasn't right as I was getting a very fine vibration at about 60mph. The very next morning I returned to the garage to find he wasn't there, but his apprentice was. When I asked him why the car had this vibration at speed he broke down and said "I knew this would happen, I told him not to do it!" Long story short, the guy installed a compressor from god knows what, ending up 'just' reaching the belt-line close enough to geta thin V-belt over the pulleys. Anyway, I finally found a compressor and had it installed by Porsche. Now I have a spareA/C compressorthat has a sticker on the backthat names it a Murray Everco #A74188. It looks like it may be a reman for a Porsche, but to sell it (or give it away) I need to ID this thing. Can anyone help?

Try this number (do not know hours of operation) in Texas for Everco Technical Support. 888-819-4119 hope the number is still good. Everco is a remanufacturer (one of the
largest) of a/c compressors. Good luck.

Thanks Jay, a few nights after posting this question I found the same compressor up for auction on E-Bay. (The photos anddescription are duplicate.)So now I know that the mechanic attempted to install an A/C compressor for a '85.5 or later 944 as opposed to the '84 unit I ordered. So if anyone is looking for a compressor for their 944, I've got one for sale in Toronto, Ontario Canada for 'best offer' plus shipping.
