so what should the oil pressure in a 1983 N/A be runing at while at idle? thanks

 

There is no spec given by porsche for oil pressure at idle, but most people will agree that you should be around 1.5-2 bar when the engine is warm and the gauge is functioning properly. The only spec porsche gives is 4 bar at 5k rpms when the engine is warm. Anything lower than that suggests bad rod bearings, specifically #2 bearing.
