Default Pinged head on a 86 944

I recently bought 2 86 non turbo 944's. One with a power house and one with out for parts. This cars has been abused. I began driving it and the timing belt broke. Now the valves are bent. It looks like the vibration cams didn't have a belt on them either. One of the vibration cams won't even turn. Do I need a whole engine now? The car is too cool to give up.

You will need to pull the balance shaft covers to see what is seized up on the one balance shaft. Since you popped the timing belt, you will have most of that off anyways, so pull the cover and figure out what is going on. I would replace the waterpump as well since you are in there.
