Default Quick fuel pressure question

I have a 86 944t. I have an no start issue. I narrowed it down today. I sprayed a bit of starter fluid in and it fired. I had removed the end nut on the fuel rail a few days ago and spun the engine and a gush of gas came out. I tried it again today and nothing.

Would that be a fuel pump or fuel pressure reg issue...or? Thanks!!

Just remembered something important. When i got my gush of gas out of the rail, i had a jumper on the DME relay, on spots 30 and 87b (i believe). BUT when i tried to start it, nothing. I couldn't get a reading on the pressure as my fuel pressure gauge had the wrong end to screw on. But it does fire with starter fluid...

If it has fuel with the relay jumpered, then you might try replacing the DME relay. Fuel pressure should be 36 +/- 3psi.
