Default Should I buy one?

Hi, I'm new here. I was looking for a Porsche 944, and I found one. It's red, black leather interior. It's an '83. Not a turbo. It's been stored all it's life, other than summer driving. Never driven in rain or snow. Fully restored. It's only got 89,000 miles on it. Also, I'd be getting a new front air dam, new speakers, and custom embroidered floormats. All this only costs $4,500. I could try and drop the price down a little. I've asked around, some people say I'm getting ripped off and not to do it. The guy has every receipt of every time he's taken it to get it serviced. It's really clean, no damage. Should I go ahead and get it, or should I hold off?

Sounds prettygood - is he the original owner?regardless, I'd offer 4 and pay up to 4500 as necessary. If he had more than just routine service records (receipts that showed significant repairs also)it would be a plus asyou might have some idea where you stood on some of the various components. FWIW- Dave
(short answer is 'yes')

Have it looked over by a mechanic familiar with 944s. With only 89,000 miles, you shouldn't have problems with the main components. However, a lot of the rubber and plastic components go bad with age.
