Default Startup After Storage

Hi all. I am about to attempt to get my '86 944 up and running after sitting for about 2 years in storage. Cranks fine but won't fire up. Bit concerned about the state of the fuel in the tank and lines breaking down and forming gummy deposits, etc. Can the tank be drained and flushed without being removed? Also, any other concerns I should look out for?

Thanks

Yea, you can remove the lower panel that houses the fuel pump, and disconnect the line there to drain it. Does the tach bounce when you are cranking?
