Default Thermostat!

Ok, What's the trick? I just spent three hours trying to get the thermostat out of my '86 and all I got was frustrated. Clarks garage said to have patience but that didn't work to well.

Its a pain in the butt with the waterpump installed. You just have to get the clip rotated around in the right spot for your snap ring pliers.

If the water pump is still on the car and you can't get snap ring oliers in there you can remove it with a scrach awl from sears.

Thanks, I tried that....I couldn't even get the ring to spin to where I could get at it at a better angle. It is really frustrating and of course it snowed and really cold so I have not been able to get back at it.
