Can i replace the Crankshaft seal, without removing the oil pump? Are there any tricks to the job?

Yup you sure can. Remove the washer and O ring, then slide the sleeve spacer out (the one with teeth). If there is a groove where the seal sits, then it needs to be replaced, or it will leak. Then you can pull the seal.

Ok, There is a slight groove in the sleeve. I can't feel it, but i can see the wear line. I guess i will need to get a new one, or maybe it is not bad enough to worry with?
I am still hoping that the seals are the source of the oil leak. There is dirty oil on the whole front of the engine. The crank looks the worse, so i better not take a chance
with the old sleeve. Neal
