Default Vibration and buzzing in shifter

Hi Folks, would anyone be able to take a shot at my latest dilemma. I was driving home yesterday when I noticed that when I let off the gas that my shifter started to shake and vibrate (fine vibration almost a buzzing sound.) Progressively getting worse.

More than likely a worn shift lever and cup bushing.

Thanks Doc, I'll order a Shnell kit and new cup bushing and give it a shot. I know that the shifter bushing must be worn due to the amount of play anyway, so thanks for giving me the motivation to get rid of that old sloppy shifter. Before I click on "pay now", is there anything else I should know before purchasing?

Default Plan B?

Hi Doc,
Okay, installed new cup and shifter and must say that it is now tight, all of the sloppiness is gone and no more noise ...except that I still have the vibration in the shifter. If you were to feel a vibration coming up through to the shifter grip that seems to begin at approx 2500 rpms, disappearing by 3500 rpms, what would be your first guess? Bearings?

I would suspect either the balance shafts are out of alignment, or the engine mounts are shot.

Thanks Doc, I will check the mounts with one of the techs at work tomorrow and then I'll have to read-up on balance shafts as the week progresses. I sure do appreciate your assistance, every time.
