I have access to a 1983 944 really cheap from a friend. The car is in rough shape, paint is horrible, interior is very worn. The car was a good running driver, mechanically speaking, until it just died one day with no spark. Fuel pressure was good, but he couldn't figure out why there was no spark. It's been sitting now for 6-7 years. I don't want to make this a project to get the car going again, but I'm wodering what I might do with the drivetrain if I can get it running again. Anyone know what you might be able to do with this engine? Are there any adapters to fit a VW transaxle that you know of? I know nothing about Porsche's in general, but I am a good mechanic. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
