Will 18" Rims fit my 944
Hello Hello to everyone here. I finally bit the bullet and purchased a car which I always wanted. She's a gorgeus 23 year old 1983 Porshce 944 with 105,000 miles and in fantastic condition. Unfortunately it's an automatic (I know I know) but it drives very very nice and it's in perfect mechanical condition. I am in the "upgrade the wheels" phase and have an opportunity to purchase a set of 18 inch wheels which will totally transform the look. The wheels are from a 2000 911 Convertible. 18x10 rears, 18x7.5 fronts and I wonder will the rear ones fit so that they don't stick outside the fenders in the rear.
Thanks everyone!!!

RE: Will 18" Rims fit my 944
I changed my mind after reading some posts about going bigger than 18" inch on a 1983 944. I will stick to 17" wheels, actually a friend of mine has a set of very nice 2003 Boxster rims 17" without tires. Front are 7.5 wide and 52mm offset and rear are 8.5 wide with 48mm offset. Will I need spacers for front and rear or just the front?
Thanks everyone!!

RE: Will 18" Rims fit my 944
Hi, I've had 18" wheels fitted to my 944 S2 for a couple of years now & have never had any problems! The 944 does tramline a little and 18" wheels does increase this effect more, but I found the fitting a strut brace solved this side efffect! (Also, 18" wheels look so much better than 17") As to whether the 911 convertible wheels will fit is dependent on what off set thay have.
