Default Won't Start

Went to start Lightning McQueen the other day for the first time in a couple of winter months and for the first time....he would not start. Have periodically started him during the snowy winter with no problems but this time it just cranked and did not turn over. Tried the battery jumper as battery started to die with no results. Any suggestions? He is a 86.5 NA. If it was one of my carboureted Mustangs I would spray a little starting fluid in the carb....what would be the comparable thing to do to the fuel injection?

I second that, you can jumper around it to verify, Justremove the DME relay and install jumper to bypass the Fuel Pump / DME relay (and computer) and directly power the fuel pump. Terminal 30 to Terminal 87b. If it starts/runs then the relay is bad.

[:@][:@]Found the problem, my rotor is FRIED[:@][:@]The contact side of the rotor is fried, the distributor cap looks ok but I will replace. My question is; what could cause this? At the cost of these parts compared to the other cars I have worked on I want to fix the cause, not just the result.
