I just bought a preowned Boxster and got 2 keys from the seller. Both keys will start the engine, but will not lock, unlock door when buttons are press. I was told to take it to the dealer for programming. Can anybody refer to a cheaper place? I am in Costa Mesa, CA.

 

I must first ask this question: Are the batteries in the keys OK?
I assume yes, but advise that you go the OPC route. Regards Big Bob

 

The batteries are fine, the red led light lit up when press the buttons. what is OPC?
