Default Cooling system

How do I bleed the cooling system without using a special snap on tool.. there must be a way and some efficient steps I can take..is there? also how do I check if the thermostat is bad? before I found the leak on the water pump I noticed the temperature went up above 180.. maybe up to 190 or so.. could this be caused by the leak or the thermostat is not functioning to its prime capabilities? someone told me that the thermostat could be the cause to the waterpump leak.. is this a valid theory? thanks for any help given

I'm kind of surprised your water pump is bad already. Are you sure you didn't just overfill the coolant res. tank, and the leaking that you are seeing isn't comming from the overflow tube?

Im positive.. I pressure tested the cooling system and turns out that it was coming from behind the pulley of the water pump and it was very sudell so you cant tell.. I replaced the water pump and thermostat already since I had the car up. I bled it manually which was a bit of a hasle w/o the snap on bleeder or similar tool. But I want to post up some pics soon as i make the time. So far so good.. I drove it for about 80 miles and everything is working good. I had a chat with my bro. and he did mention that german water pump arent as durable as other water pumps.. not sure how valid this statement is but it was defineley the water pump at 61k.. I also heard that the rubber on the engine mount starts to wear out at 45 k on boxsters 00' and up..
