I am trying to figure out if I have a bad solenoid or a bad alternator. My '02 Boxster didn't start on Wednesday evening, so I had AAA coming in and jump start the car. It worked fine and I was able to drive home (approx. 20 miles) with no problems whatsoever. AAA suggested it was a battery problem so I went to Autozone and I bought a brand new battery. The problem seem to be fixed; the car would start and run like new.

Today, Saturday, the car started in the morning with no problems but the windows and the top were going down slower than the usual. Around lunch time I parked the car for about 2 hours and when I got back, it wouldn't start again!! I had a friend of mine helping me and we jump started the car with his car and it worked fine. The car started with no problems and I came home.

Later today, I tried to jump start the car with my other car and that's when it was the end of it. The car no longer started with the jump cables! Can you please help me? Did anything like that ever happened to you?
