The low beam headlamps quit working all of a sudden on my '01 Boxster S, 29k miles. All other lights work properly and there are no known blown fuses behind the panel. I would find it hard to believe that both bulbs went at the same time. Bulbs are over $200 a pop! I just moved to an area that has quite rough roads. I am wondering if some connection came loose. A tech. mentioned that the ballast might be bad. Any suggestions? The Bentley Manual doesn't have any!

 

I found the answer. Both light bulbs were shot due to rough roads. The bulbs were $13 each at the dealer. They are the regular hgalogen H7 bulb and not the Xenon.
