RE: Most MILES on a boxster
Hey Tinchao,
Thanks for your coments.. My Boxter has spent more time relaxing in the garage then cruising .. It just hit 36 k mi and is already 8 yrs old.. Well I think I'm going to start cruizin and usin her more.. I got a little spooked when I found the corrosion on the alarm pc board but I guess I must be diligent to keep the leaves and debris from clogging the drain holes in the interior.
I change the plugs the other day and let me tell you the ones toward the front are a little bit difficult to access.. If you replace the plugs yourself - I reccomend that you put a little anti sieze compound on the threads.. I will soon do the front
brake pads..I have a friend who has driven several ferraris and he said the boxter was the best handling car he has ever driven!!
Enjoy your superb boxter !! You are lucky to live in such a nice place as Hawaii -Aloha

RE: Most MILES on a boxster
I am new here and looking for a little info. My 2004 boxster has a base stereo system with single cd player. There are no speakers behind the seats so all the sound come from the front of the car. I would like to upgrade but I am being told by Circuit City and Best Buy (not the dealer) that I need a seperate amp and all kinds of other stuff that will add up the $600+ just to have a couple of speakers installed behind the seats. Anyone know about this???? It would be nice to be armed with a little knowledge before I go into the dealer or back to the stereo shop. Thanks. George
