In process of buying 2002 Boxster tiptronic with 12 k miles. Looks impeccable. paid 18 k. I thought was good deal. Any thoughts?

 

12k miles? Make sure you upgrade the IMS bearing immediately. Low mileage cars are prone to destruction of the IMS bearing. As the cars sit for extended periods of time, the 0-40 oil seeps past the grease seal on the IMS bearing and washes the grease out. Condensation is then free to erode the bearing, as well as not having any lubrication in the ***** when the engine is operating.
