The check engine light has come on in my 2000 Boxster, is it injurious to continue to drive the car since the dealer can'tlook atthe car until Wednesday? Does the light mean that I only have a problem with my oxygen sensor (pollution control) and is it something I can fix myself? Any recommendations?

 

Sometimes, if you forget to tighten your gas cap good, the check enginee light will comes on too.

 

Tinchao, you nailed it!!! Tightened the cap and drove it to the office (light still on), when I came out for lunch andstartedit up,the light was gone. Many thanks, I had forgotten that little trick - rPm
