PST2 or Baum iScan

RE: PST2 or Baum iScan
what about a low end scanner like Equus products Innova 1003 OBD2 or Actron OBD II Code Reader from SEARS?
Is there a huge difference between the low endand the high end?
Ive been researching and I read some forums whereit talks abouthow some low end CodeReaders are not able to pick up some Information that a Higher end would normally pick up.
Ihave the bentley manual for the boxster and most or all of the codes are displayed in the book.
Im looking up the brand you suggested. Thanks for the feedback. Its great help.
AlsoI noticed that the boxster does not have a Engine Service Light, does the engine check light orMIL light up when it is due for servicing or doesit only light up when it detects some problem likefaulty O2 sensors?
Thanks Again

The CEL light only comes on when there is a problem, there is no service light for oil changes etc.
Durametrics stuff is available for around $200 IIRC, if you have a laptop it is a nice interface to use. A lot of basic readers will not pull the Porsche codes down.
