Default Ripped Soft top

Help! I have a 2002 boxster S. The clear plastic part of the soft top ripped on the side off the stichings. Is it possible to replace just the clear plastic windshield or do I need to replace the entire top? Any recommendations? How much would it cost? Are there outside vendors who makes better ones or its better for me to replace the entire top . thanks

I believe you need to have the entire top replaced. I don't know of any top shops that do just the window, but it never hurts to ask. Any auto unholstery shop that does tops can do the boxster.

It has been over 2 years since I have had one replaced, so I don't remember the exact amount. I would call around to a bunch of upholstery shops and get some quotes.

there's actually nothing wrong with my clear plastic just the right end of the plastic separated from the black canvas about 2 inches, i just need to glue it back together dont know how cuz the plastic barely touches the end of the black canvas, do i pull it hard after warming it up? whats the best solution or get a new plastic window all together . So i dont have any rips just detached from where the plastic ends and the black canvas meets. that make sense?

Not sure you should use glue, sounds messy, glue might make it worst and might look bad. I would replace the plastic window, I think.
