Default Trunk Lettering

I got a towel caughton my Boxster lettering on the trunk and broke the plastic B in half while washing the car. Can someone please point me to where I can replace that? I thought I saw an aftermarket chrome Boxster emblem for the trunk and I would consider that but I am not happy with how it looks now. Please help!!!

If you haven't noticed already a few Boxsters will be without the emblem on the rear trunk. I've always thought they were missing the emblem because the trunk had been repaired and the emblem was never re-installed. Since I've seen so many, I've begun to wonder if maybe certain models were manufactured without the emblem. I found out a few things to share.

If you order the car from the dealer you can actually have the emblem deleted as a factory option - at no charge! Alternatively, you can also do a delete using dental floss and cleaning up the double stick tape residue followed by a bit of polish/wax.
The technique that uses dental floss (http://boxsters.addr.com/hacks/logo_removal.htm)

One of the reasons people remove the emblem is that the 'B' tends to break when washing/waxing the car as the cleaning cloth can catch on it causing part of it to break off.

Or remove the old "BOXSTER" emblem from the rear trunk and install a "986" emblem, if you have a 986.

Just a matter of personal preference. You will see that it's very common to remove it. Just a thought.

Sorry I thought you were looking for the 986 emblem. I wasn't paying attention to the actual number you requested. Apparently there isn't one for 987 that I know of unless you want to special order it from a company called "Name Your Porsche".
...but very expensive!!!!
Try here

This is a company that has advertises in magazines for personalized emblems. Expensive, but for only three digits, not as much. They can even do the correct script. The one I saw had an eight letter limit.

Or just nothing on the rear as most people do.
