Newby to Porsche....
I am contemplating buying my first Porsche...a '11 Cayenne S..having purchased domestic cars all my life I have gotten used to buying cars at invoice price. I am getting the impression that this practice is not common for Porsche dealers....can veteran Porsche owners give me a guideline of what IS considered a "fair" price as a percentage off of MSRP...I am in the midwest and anywhere in Mich, Wis, or IL would be convenient for me as there are no Porsche dealers "close" to me anyway since I live in the U.P. of Mich...any other tips to a rookie would be appreciated in the purchase process...the car I am looking at would be optioned out at about 80K MSRP....one other thought, there is a small chance I would consider a turbo....would that car be discounted differently....

The only time i have really seen Porsche dealers come off MSRP is at end of the summer when they are trying to clear out that model year in order to bring in the next model year. Otherwise they usually stick to their guns pretty hard. You might call up a couple different dealers across the US to see if any of them are willing to deal at all. I'd try all the majors like Champion, Brandywine, Sunset, Boardwalk, etc.
