This is my first post on here.
I own a 2005 Cayenne V6.
I have seen advertised on ebay, a catalytic bypass pipe, which removes the second catalytic convertor.
It is meant to increase power, and make the exhaust note better.
Anyone had any experience with this modification.

I have done many of these conversions. It is not a hard process with the right tools. The problem (and I don't know why), is that sometimes it sounds great, and other times the car sounds like poot poot poot on acceleration, lol. Sounds like the car has gas.

If you want a great sound upgrade, swap your muffler for a fabspeed muffler, it sounds incredible.

Thanks for the reply, I dont want to go to the expense or hassle of installing a complete system, I just thought this might be a cheap, and easy way to add a little bit extra to the car.
If it works then I may give it a try.

 

I bought the system on EBAY an also had the computer remapped. Dramatic increase in power......V6 sounds and performs great. Mileage was not affected, but was not important for my decision for the upgrade
