Porsche won't race MINI
a few days ago MINI's USA Chief Mr. Jim McDowell challenged Porsche's North America President to a race: Mini Cooper S vs. Porsche Carrera S
unfortunately Porsche has declined Mini's offer

No matter the outcome, it is a win-win for mini and a lose-lose for Porsche. If mini wins, they look great. If they lose, they still look great for making the challenge. If Porsche wins, people are like....great you beat a mini. If Porsche loses, well, they are the laughing stock.
My guess is mini will just buy a Porsche and hold the race themselves, lol.

Was just talking about this in another thread. I love the original Mini's but they've lost whatever mojo they had.
that being said at this point my vote is that Porsche do the gd race. I want a 911 to wipe the smug right off Mini's face.
it's all over facebook too. mini fans seem convince that this is not just a publicity stunt and that they have a chance to actually win.
