Default Changing the steering wheel on a 997

I am planning to change the steering wheel on my 997 to the sports steering wheel.

Curious if anybody has done it and if so, any picts, any tips or instructions? Does somebody has the torque value for the main bolt on the steering wheel?

(and if you had it done at a dealer, what were you charged for labor?)

Thanks in advance!

Steering wheel swap should only take about 30 minutes tops.

Insert key in ignition, turn to accessories, turn back off, but do not remove the key. Now you can free wheel it. Disconnect battery ground. Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees, and insert a long T-30 torx. It will take a long bit, no room for using a socket with a short bit. Pop the release for the airbag with the T-30. Remove airbag connector. Remove steering wheel. Installation opposite of removal.

Torque on the steering wheel to shaft is 37 ft/lbs
