Hello. I'm glad to be a new member. I'm a new owner. I recently acquired a 1983 911SC Coupe. I purchased it from a friend who's a big Porsche enthusiast. He's had some health problems and had to sell his beloved 911 due to not being able to handle the clutch.
I am crazy about this car. I've never owned a sports car, so I don't have a frame of reference to compare. What I do know is that compared to other vehicles I've owned, this car is very well engineered. The fit and finish is outstanding. The previous owner really took care of the car, so it runs great, the body/paint is great, and except for wear on the leather seat from getting in/out, the interior is great.
I REALLY enjoy driving this car. I've never just driven a car for the sake of driving. I do now. There's a Zen aspect of driving this car, in that when I'm driving it, I'm totally involved in driving it.
Anyway, I'm in a crash course of learning about all things 911SC and having a terrific time.
Best regards,
Adam
