New member, new Porsche?
Hey all, thought I'd stop in and say hello.
I'm looking at a mint 83 944, perfect paint and interior, 90k on the motor. I've loved Porsches my entire life, and had a 928 for a while, until maintenance became rediculious on it. Engine, transmission, shift linkage, electrical, etc. So, a few years pass, and I once again need to scratch the itch. Problem is, the starter is shot. Under normal circumstances, changing a starter for me is cake, however I've never worked on this car before, and know Porsches have a tendency to be "unique" in some ways. So I ask, is there anything special I'm looking at for this, or is it a strait shot? Thanks.
