I'm looking at buying an 83' 944 and it has a melted wire harness from the computer to the engine. The owner says that it will start and run perfectly for about two seconds and then the engine dies. What could cause this and where can I find a new one? I'm new to porsches and want to know if there is possibly a problem beyond the wire harness.
