I am new to the forum and am not yet a Porsche owner. I am a Corvette driver and am looking for a change. Right now I have a C-5 convertible which I will be selling soon. I am going to look for a mid 80's 930 I think, a weekend car, not a daly driver. My wife thinks this is my mid-life crisis (she said a new sports car is cheaper then a girlfriend). Any advise anyone has would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Welcome.

Your wife is correct, a new sports car is much cheaper than a girlfriend, and ultimately it causes you much less grief.

Why get rid of the C5 for the Porsche? Keep both. My wife is reconciled to the fact that there are many cars, but only one women.

Continuing with that girlfriend-car analogy, you can tell your wife that a dirty old man on the forum observed that guys treat their new cars and their new girlfriends about the same in one regard -- in both cases they already know pretty much what all the parts will be and where they are located, but that doesn't stop them from wanting to unwrap and look and touch everything.
