Default Noobe soon to be Porsche owner

Hello everybody, Just joined the Forum today. Thought I would say hi. I currently have a C5 Corvette, an H3 Hummer, a 1991 Chevy 454SS pickup, soon to be supercharged, a 2006 Harley Street Bob, and a restored 1982 Honda CBX 6 cylinder bike. I have been into cars and bikes for some time and I am looking forward to getting my first Porsche so I thought I would learn some more about Porsches by joining and participating in this forum.

I like the Cayman and 911. Probably leaning towards the 911. I'm used to fast cars so I will probably mod either one.

I hope that didn't come across in a negative way. I don't mean to put Porsche's down, on the contrary I have always loved Porsches. I really admire the quality and engineering that goes into them. I just recently started to indulge myself with 2 seaters now that my kids are driving and Porsche has always been at the top of my list. I'm not looking to replace my current cars, just add to them.

I agree, Porsches are great cars in standard spec, but even better when modded!

Who wants to be the same as everyone else anyway? Not me!

Hi All,

I'm a 'soon to be a porsche owner' too, so I thought I'd use the same thread to say hi!

I'm looking at a couple of 928's at the moment as I can't afford a new one

I'm also into bikes and currently ride a Honda CBF600 which is considered by some to be an old mans bike and they're probably right!

Cheers, p.

My old man bike is a 1982 Honda CBX. My other is a 2006 Harley Street Bob.

Here's a picture:

I gotta tell you though, if this really does come out in the next couple of years like VW/Bugatti promises for between 60 and 70 thousand, I will definitely buy one. It's the new 4 cyl. turbo Bugatti designed to compete with the Boxster, Audi TT, and cars in that class. If they all don't come out with something better, this car is going to wreck them! The only thing to stop them from owning this segment, is they only plan on making 5 to 6 thousand cars every year.
