Restarting a sitting 911 T for the first time.
Hi All,
I am new to your forum. I recently purchased a 1972 Porsche 911 T. It is factory yellow with black interior. I appears to be all original. I purchased the car because it has only a little surface rust and everything seemed to be complete with the car. I previous owner mentioned that the 911 had been sitting in his garage for the last 16 months. I had the car towed home.
I am awaiting new batteries for the car. The car has two 6 volt batteries. No one stocks them, so I had to order them.
My question is what else showed I change or check before starting my new 1972 911 T for the first time onec my new batteries arrive.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thank you and I look forward to any and all assistance this forum may offer.

Change the oil first, and I would pull the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine until it builds oil pressure, then put it back in and try starting it.
