I am looking to buy my first 911 and am undecided about which year to go for. I won't be driving the 911 all year round but want to buy a good example that will be reliable and (relatively) easy to maintain.

I want a coupe (not a targa or convertible) and have been looking at the mid 80's cars at around $25k. The 2000 and 2001 models look tempting too as prices are reasonable for lowish mileage examples.

Any suggestions as to which model / year I should go for would be much appreciated.
