911 cabralia vs coupe
Hello guys
I am looking to get my starter Porsche in love with the car since I was six I guess enough is enough I think I can afford a decent 01 or 02 996 I have been doing my search and narrow down few cars with low mileage like under 35K certified pre owned.
So what I am confused about is what are the differences in terms of resale durability bla bla and rest between coupes and convertible????
Is there any strong reason I should go for coupe in 996 over convertible?
I can live with both and see my self enjoy? My wife on the other hand likes the shape of coupe more.
So please help me out most of the good car still under factory warenty is convertible.
Why I should not get convertible? If I like the car in every regard and it is perfect? Or I should go ahead and look for coupe????
I will really appreciate your input.

RE: 911 cabralia vs coupe
The 2002 911 has a more powerful engine. It is more than then 325 hp (2002 model year and forward) versus 296 hp of the 1999-2001 would indicate. They also made some design changes that make the car more powerfulcoming off a light. It makes the car more satisfying to drive and enjoy.
The convertible versus coupe is purely a personal choice. The 1999 and newer cars have a very easy top to put down and the car was designed to be a convertible not a coupe that has the top cut off. Both are great cars.
My preference is the convertible. In the Porsche it is an easy choice because the car with the top is very quiet so there is no penalty. The convertible is a little heavier so performance is down a tad. In my mind it is worth it.
Good luck to you

RE: 911 cabralia vs coupe
nice!
my first porsche was a cab...being on number 7 now, 2 of them have been cabs with the last two being coupes...so there you go, it's very subjective to your tastes, the car, the climate, a so on...
I do like having a coupe for the sunroof though. it's kind of the best of both worlds!
enjoy that new car and try not to get ANY tickets...
