You could maybe squeeze a 245 x 45 x 16 on the rear.....

The red flashing is the handbrake warning light. Does it go out when you release the handbrake?

The light stays on when i release the brake,it is the little red light in the guage cluster with the temp guage and below the green light with the marking OEL it has a G with a circle around it and i am thinking it might be a generator?not sure

Yep, that light is the alternator. Mine stays on when I first start the car but goes out as soon as I rev the engine. If ours doesnt go out then it would see you have a problem with the alternator.
