Default 996 2005 c4s for sale or new 997 s conv

Hi Everyone - this is my first post. I am about to buy either a 2007 997 s conv for the best price I can haggle or an 05 996 c4s with 12K miles for 76500 (has triptronic) and looks pretty darn new. I plan on keeping the car for 3 to 4 yrs and then hopefully upgrade to a turbo. My question is which one would you guys buy. I drove both and honestly could not tell the differnce other than the 07 had nav and a bigger price tag. I know the body style is different, engine is different and other things have changed. Knowing the difference which one would you guys pick? I fell in love when I drove a buddies 2004 c4s with power upgrade in So. CA. thank you very much for your input. I will hopfully be able to give feedback once I buy one!

I love the 911S. It is a much better car than the 996.I own a 1999 911 Cab. I love the car but the 997 variant is an upgrade. The 4 wheel drive unless you need it does not handle as good as the standard 911.

Good luck on whatever you decide.
