Carmona Red 911 - would you buy one?
I have the chance to become a Porsche owner for the first time - as many would say, a dream realized. As a 3-year owner of an Infiniti G35 coupe 6MT, it's a big step up. For context, my current G35c, which I have loved driving, is laser red. Read on...
The car I'm considering (and have driven) is a 2004 CPO C2 cab with 16K miles in perfect shape. The price is $10K below what a similarly equipped silver or black one would be (under $50K). That's my concern - in seriously considering this phenomenal car because of a true bargain price, will I hurt myself down the (3- or 4-year) road when I sell/trade it for, say, a C4 Turbo? (just dreaming :-). There are so few carmona red 911s for sale nationwide that I wonder if they're "shunned" from the start in favor of the universal colors.
Another way to put my question: should I spend $5-7K more for a black on black or some such conventional equivalent, to protect the resale eventuality? All comments welcome!

Sure, go for it! You are obviously thrilled with the idea, but apparently a little gun shy. You can't go wrong... You're already way ahead of the game money wise on the deal, plus combined with the low mileage. Red is a classic Porsche color and there will always be a buyer. Of course some want only black, or white, or silver, so you can't please everyone. So please yourself instead and enjoy it! You'll turn a lot of heads with a red Porsche...If it was lime green or powder blue, then you'd have a tough time on the resale. good luck and congrats if you do wind up with it!
Red is a great colour on a Porsche especially a 911. There are too many Silvers, Blacks, Seal Greys, and Blues about anyway. Go for it. My only other advice would be Speed Yellow!!!!

Go for it.. I own a Guards red 2007 Targa 4. I love it.. It turns heads everywhere.. I would never own a black car.. It shows every mark and scrtach.. You only live once..
