Hey Porchedoc, or anyone else that would know,

I have a 1999 996, and I've had a trouble code P0446 pop on my engine light. I have a diagnostic scanner and it tells me it is an Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Control Curcuit. I drive it every day and it runs great. My first thought was a loose gas cap or something, but I'm always careful to tighten it till it clicks several times. Anyway, this has been going on for about the last 7 months the same code pops up about every 6-8 weeks. Any idea on what I can do to fix?

I would first try replacing the gas cap, I have seen them go bad and cause the code. If that doesn't work, then it probably needs to be hooked up to the PIWIS at the dealer to make sure the vent valves are operating correctly.
