I am looking for people that know there stuff on older 911s ,First I am looking to buy a 1970 911T Targa with a wide body kit , body is ok but has some rust pit holes along the front hood, and where the fiberglass fendr meets the metal fender on the left rear there is a small 4 inch x1/2 inch hole, but easy fix , the engine 2.2 was stuck but unstuck now,ENG. has headders and runs with a miss at low rpms and higher RPMs has Fush fronts and wide after market rears,a glass rear lid with gkass tail fin,floors are nice 55,000 org Miles thats the first one , The second one is a 911S 1976 in show room condition an older gentalman, I know about the 5 blade fans, and the Head stud issues,timming chain guides,car is very nice but it is $10,000 and the Targa 1970 2.2 is $4,000 Canadian I know I will never get the money I put into it back but shows a lot of potential, wide body headders large wide rear tires wide body, but is a Targa ,The 911S is very nice but again is $6000 more than the Targa and still has head stud probable issues and cooling issues,at the most,I am a first time buyer and am a back yard mechanic and am 49 years old just to give a little insite, I need to make a decition real soon, any Ideas or help would be gratefully appreciated.
