I am new to this forum and looking for some insight and advice.

A close friend of mine has a 1996 911 Carrera convertible he is selling for his sister.

The car has just under 12,000 miles and is in fantastic condition. The only drawback I can see is it has an automatic with tiptronic transmission(maybe not a drawback). This really isn't a drawback to my wife.

I am looking for some advice and insight with regard to ongoing maintenance costs, any potential problems with this particular year and model, and is there a reasonably priced and reputable service shop in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area besides Scottsdale Porsche?

Also, what is a reasonable price to pay for this car?

my friend has a tiptronic and he was able to hang with the Ferrari guys on their run. so it is not negative. it's the driver!
