Default New Here, need to fix my dads car.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the board and I need to fix the speedometer on my dads 1995 carrera N/A.

I have a heavily modded toyota MR2 turbo that i do all of my own work on, I am mechanically inclined but I don't know much about porsches.

Is the speedometer mechanical or electrical? Any Ideas as to how it could break? How do I fix this for him?

Thank you, all input is appreciated.
