Default What Porsche to buy?

Im looking at some older 911's to make into a track/autocross car but im not sure witch is the way to go. Im really interested in the turbo engine but heard "it's not really effect on the track cause the boost kicks in to hard and causes the car to loose traction" but im sure that the boost is controlable and has to do with your suspension setup right?? So what im askin is that statement true and what engine should i go?

Default RE: What Porsche to buy?

Well, i'm pretty sure as long as you're on dry pavement you can wail on that turbo-charged engine as hard as you want. if you take it on, say gravel, thats a whole different story in which the turbo boost should REALLY be used with caution. don't hestitate to look into a naturally-aspirated 911 either. there are a whole lot of aftermarket options that can make those really haul some major ***. i am not some expert[8D], but i'm sure there are a lot people on this forum who could really give you some good info IF they posted[sm=pcwhack.gif].
