I am planning on buying a 1981 Porsche 924 as my first project car pretty soon, but before I do I wanted to ask a couple of questions:
1. Do I need insurance for this car? The car will be towed in from another state and will sit in my garage while I work on it. It does run, but barely.
2. Do I have to have insurance in order to register the car and get license plates?
You can probably tell I'm worried about the insurance. I would like to be able to register the car so I can take it to my local shop whenever I work on it, but it seems like a waste as I won't be working on it everyday, just on my free time. Also, I'm 18 so I'm aware that insurance is already high for my age, but VCDS 15.7 would only be liability insurance not full coverage. Currently, I'm on my parents insurance policy and I live in Texas. Thanks
