Default 83 944 idles but cannot rev it up

For the last 3 or 4 weeks idle has been wondering from 1200 to 900 intermitently. A few days ago thebattery cable came loose and I ran the battery very low to make it home. Next day it started fine but after it ran for about 2 min. or less the idle would drop and when I tried to give it gas it acts like it wants to die, but does not. It just lobes like its got a huge cam in it. Doesnt matter how much gas I give it it just lobes. The longer it runs the worse it gets. If it sits a while I can start it and rev it up just fine but after 20 to 60 seconds it does the same thing. Checked altenator, catalytic converter, Air flow sensor with meter. I will try fuel filter, pump, and regulator unless anyone has any ideas.

Unplug the TPS and try it. If it revs up, you found your problem.

As soon as I started it today it started doing the same thing. It usually runs good a few min. first and then acts up. I unplugged the TPS and the idle increased and was able to rev it up just fine. Is there any way to adjust this or do I need to buy a new one.

Thanks for your help Doc. You guys provide a great service for the weekend mechanic.
