I went to test drive an 83' 944 the other day and fell in love. I was very imprest witht the mechanical and cosmetic condition of the car but it was selling for $2200 and that seemed to good to be true so when I test drove it every thing seemed great except for the steering. the wheel was really loose in the straight pos. but when I turned it got firm and harder to turn which was the lack of power steering that they have but the car would kind of dance around on me and a was constantly fighting the stearing wheel. The guy told be that this was normal for the 944 with out powersteering is this true or bs. thank you for any help and input.
