how does the heating system work in a 1983 944. i can feel heat being pushed through the vents but i am not able to adjustit with the switch. im thinking faulty selector switch but i am kind of looking to get schooled up on the whole system

 

Sounds like your fan switch is shot, or you have a bad fan blower motor (check the fuses first).

 

pulled the switch and tested it, -good. used power probe to energize the blower motor,- good. ohmed out the main power wire. -bad. replaced the power wire and tested - good. thanks doc your always a big help.
